    Description

    MetroStrat has needs for Audit Remediation Consultants with active Secret Clearances to provide audit remediation and internal control support to a Department of Defense client in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

    Contract has 6 months remaining with opportunity for high-level performers on subsequent contract vehicle. Positions are expected to be hybrid remote with occasional onsite meetings. CPA, CISA, CDFM or a CGFM certification preferred.

    Ideal candidates should be proficient in their knowledge of accounting for Fund Balance with Treasury and Property, Plant and Equipment for the DoD.

    Candidates should be comfortable with interfacing with all levels of client personnel (staff to director), possess strong MS Office skills, be an effective multitasker and maintain a proactive and positive attitude.


    ALL Candidates MUST possess:

    • At least 2 years of audit or audit remediation experience
    • Active Secret Clearance Position responsibilities may include:
    • Developing corrective action plans in response to NFRs from financial statement audits.
    • Support with developing and implementing accounting policies, KPIs and SOPs.
    • Assist in researching and documenting root causes of NFRs.
    • Supporting assessments of internal controls over financial reporting and financial systems.
    • Developing PowerPoint slides to support executive level briefings.
    • Fulfilling ad hoc program management requests.
