- Performing service calls on fixtures, systems and equipment that are of concern. Troubleshooting on a variety of systems to identify the issue, then educating the customer. Presenting the customer with three options to resolve the issue. These solutions could range from regular maintenance, repairs, to a replacement of a part, or ultimately replacing the whole system.
- Performing maintenance safety tune-up inspections on plumbing systems (water heaters, tankless water heaters, crawl space inspections). These are in homes and light commercial locations In Sonoma & Marin Counties.
- Providing excellent customer services to introduce or continue the customers experience while dealing with our company and our core values.
- Presenting and closing opportunities for the customer to sign-up or renew prepaid maintenance programs.
- Strong understanding of how a Plumbing system or equipment should optimally work.
- Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnosing problems, replacing, or repairing parts (recognize when a more experienced technician needs to be sent out to evaluate the job), testing and adjusting Plumbing systems and equipment.
- Identify HVAC issues (ductwork concerns, equipment condition) and call in to the office to get one of our HVAC technicians scheduled out to evaluate as a referral.
- Identify electrical issues and call in to the office to get one of our electricians scheduled out to evaluate.
- Educate and offer customer preventive repairs.
- Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma/GED
- At least 3 years experience in the Plumbing Service and Repair field or Trade school is required.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to use an iPad effectively, we are a paperless company and everything is done on an iPad.
- Clean driving record.
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.

Position Summary
The Service Technician is responsible for performing plumbing service calls on a variety of plumbing systems and equipment. Depending on experience and call volume, employees will be expected to give quotes for repairs and/ or to replace systems, (IE...fixtures, piping, water heaters, tankless water heaters, filtration, ETC). When call volume dictates, employees will be performing maintenance safety tune-up inspections on plumbing systems (water heaters, tankless water heaters, crawl space inspections), both as prepaid plans as well as new customers.
