Description
Bestlogic Staffing is currently seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our our client in East Granby, CT. As a TIG Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welds on various metal components using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding techniques. This is a temporary contract position, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform TIG welding on a variety of metal components, including stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys
Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements
Set up and operate TIG welding equipment, including gas tanks, torches, and filler rods
Ensure that all welds meet quality standards and specifications
Inspect finished welds for defects and make necessary repairs
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of materials and tools
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in TIG welding
Strong knowledge of TIG welding techniques and equipment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
Proficient in basic math and measurement skills
Experience working with a variety of metals, including stainless steel and aluminum
Knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
