We invest in excellent working partnerships, powered by people.We are currently seeking a TIG Welder in East Granby, CT.As a (an) TIG Welder your day-to-day duties will consist of and may not be limited to: Responsibilities:
    • Ability to pass welding tests for aircraft welding certifications
    • Good mathematical skills
    • Knowledge/Practical experience in aerospace environment
    • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents
    • Perform all types of TIG welding to repair/replace damaged areas and cracks on aircraft parts and fixtures.
    • Perform TIG welding operations on aircraft components to meet NDT specifications and ensure efficient flow of work to meet production schedules and demands.
    • Perform TIG welding operations on titanium, aluminum, stainless steel, and nickel alloy parts, following standardized working procedures and parameters.
    • Work with Engineering to develop programs, determine new methods, develop parameters, and determine material type for new or modified products.
    • Assist with developing new tooling ideas.
    • Inspect weld for bead sized and compliance with other specifications.
    • Blend, grind, or polish weld ensuring specified minimum wall requirement is met.
    • Use calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges to measure repaired part and ensure dimensional requirements are met.
    • Complete production paperwork.
    • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and machines.
    Experience and Education:
    • 3+ years in aerospace environment.
    • Applicants must comply with all applicable FAA and DOT drug and alcohol testing rules.
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    DETAILS:
    • Duration: Temp to Perm
    • Shift: 3pm – 11:30pm
    • Location: East Granby, CT
    • Salary: $20 an hour + 12% shift differential
