    As a Level 1 PreConstruction Engineer at Focus Flooring, you're stepping into the world of preconstruction, assisting in the foundational work before our projects take flight. This role involves collaborating with external trade partners, connecting with vendors for material pricing, upholding company standards, and providing valuable support to the team lead.

    Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Complete Takeoffs

    • Connect with trade partners to deliver all documentation for comprehensive flooring takeoff
    • Review trade partners' work against a checklist, addressing incomplete items through collaboration

    Maintaining Company Standards

    • RFMS Checklist Standards
    • Follow the PreCon Tracker Protocol
    • Compile completed project files and checklists, submitting them to the team lead for a thorough review

    Building Proposals

    • Construct client proposals, showcasing innovative flooring solutions
    • Assigning the correct assemblies to floor finishes
    • Engage with vendors to secure competitive pricing for project materials

    Qualifications

    • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with external partners and vendors
    • Works well under pressure
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain and implement company standards
    • Familiarity with commercial flooring process, finish types, assemblies, and product systems
    • Familiarity with the preconstruction process is a plus
    • Works very well with deadlines
    • Very disciplined with organizing tasks both personally and professionally
    • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic team environment
