    The Business Expense Assistant Manager is a key position in Fred Hutch's Accounts Payable function. The position owns the business expense and corporate card policies ensuring consistency, compliance, and excellent customer service. Establishes guidelines for the corporate card program. Establishes fraud detection, prevention, and investigation processes. Conduct routine audits to track card program accounting processes.

    This position will manage two full-time employees and will supervise the day to day workflow of the Business Expense Program.

    Responsibilities


    • Manage corporate card program working closely with issuing bank, cardholders, approvers and policy owners.
    • Collaborate with policy owners to design and execute control and audit procedures.
    • Establish and maintain fraud detection, prevention, and investigation processes; work with Internal Audit to identify and perform audits.
    • Periodically adjudicate cardholder and expense transactions relative to prevalent policies, escalating where appropriate
    • Communicate, educate, and present expense topics to internal audiences.
    • Collect, analyze, and report expense data to the benefit of efficient operations, service improvements, customer education and risk mitigation.
    • Operationalize monthly activity audit, tracking and accounting processes.
    • Propose and implement initiatives to improve operations, data, and efficiency.
    • Manage and mediate internal meetings by creating agendas with clear objectives/roles/time allocations, facilitating the call/meeting, and taking notes of decisions and action items.
    • Support month-end close and year-end audit processes.
    • Hire, manage, and develop talented professionals.
    • Other duties as assigned by Accounts Payable Manager.
    Qualifications


    • Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum 2 years of direct experience with expense, accounting, and/or accounts payable functions.
    • Minimum 5 years of progressive work experience within finance organization(s).
    • Demonstrated ability to execute and successfully achieve objectives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams and Outlook.

    The annual base salary range for this position is from $84,448 to $126,651, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
