    The Opportunity

    Position Summary:

    Reporting to Videojet's VP/GM of Global Commercial Functions, the Vice President, Global Marketing will lead all aspects of Demand Generation Marketing and provide leadership to successfully develop and execute the global marketing strategy for a $1 Billion+ business.

    This position is responsible for (1) developing and executing strategies to drive demand generation that fuels both short-term and sustainable long-term growth, (2) working closely with country marketing and sales teams to drive growth and share gain in Videojet's largest and most important vertical markets, and (3) continuing to innovate in ways to better communicate (messaging and channels) Videojet's value propositions to customers and generate brand awareness to ensure Videojet is first in mind and first in choice.

    Growth and share-gain objectives will include a heavy emphasis on penetrating non-customer accounts (defined as incremental revenue) and increasing share of wallet at existing accounts. This position will lead the company's efforts to develop and execute tactical plans and programs to optimize market share and profitability through optimization of external and internal communication strategies, and marketing mix of outbound marketing with a strong focus on web/digital marketing.

    For successful leaders, this role has runway to more senior leadership opportunities across Videojet and the EAS platform.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Drive incremental revenue generated via non-sales channels (including all processes, systems, and tools to ensure lead generation and highly efficient handover to sales)
    • Drive innovation around communication with customers (content, channel); create sales and marketing tools, identify channels and execute on demand-creation campaigns targeted at priority verticals and customers
    • Own vertical marketing approaches to position Videojet as the preferred provider in targeted verticals
    • Drive go-to-market and commercialization efforts strategies for new products and review existing go-to-market strategies to optimize growth
    • Develop and own the roadmap for the intelligent application of technology to evolve Marketing capabilities (CRM, routing & productivity, sales collateral management/deployment, etc.)
    • Brand Strategy: Maintain a distinctive, differentiated, and engaging customer brand proposition, including visual identity, tone of voice, and product descriptors that reflects Videojet's value drivers across the entire product lifecycle
    • Customer Journey Campaigns: Create relevant Marketing campaign strategies throughout the customer buying journey leveraging modern practices to build brand awareness and capture passive interest
    • Contribute to Videojet Strategic Planning process
    • Build and manage a best in class Global Marketing team
    • Define and own the budget through annual planning process and manage
    • Develop and optimize KPIs to measure effectiveness of marketing strategies and programs
    • Support inorganic business development (potential acquisitions and partnerships) as needed

    The Successful Candidate

    The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in a senior marketing role, with experience shaping an organization to successfully develop and execute on strategies and tactics in marketing, product planning and management, channel management, and pricing. He/she will have a continuous-improvement and metrics-driven mindset.

    Key Experience/Attributes:

    • Minimum 10 years marketing and/or product management experience in comparable B2B/ growth oriented industries with 3 years in a senior management position
    • Ability to plan, manage, and execute at both a strategic and operational level
    • Exceptional track record of developing and implementing global marketing and sales strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives
    • Demonstrated marketing innovation in prior role
    • Strong strategic planning and analysis skills in sales, product management, marketing, and/or business strategy
    • Demonstrated results in gaining share and driving above-market growth
    • Ability to conduct fact-based research and analysis of market, competitor and customer data, and utilize the data to drive short- and long-term tactics and strategy.
    • Experience in market and product segmentation leading to competitive advantage in product and go-to-market strategy.
    • Experience leading marketing communications initiatives, particularly digital efforts
    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across cultures and staff to create a results-driven team oriented environment. Embraces humility as a pre-requisite for leading a learning-based organization
    • Proven track record building, leading, motivating and developing teams and building a world class marketing and product management organization
    • Experience working in a lean / kaizen culture, with a track record of utilizing these methodologies in a commercial setting

    Education:

    • Undergraduate degree in Business or Marketing
    • MBA preferred
