    Job DescriptionSalary:

    The Company:

    Our client, CPM Builders ), is a Florida based general contractor seeking an experienced Construction Estimator that will support growth by accurately estimating the total costs associated with a project, executing detailed line-item budgets by trade with unit costs.

    About the Role:

    • Responsible for all aspects of the estimating process, collaborating with subcontractors, clients, and suppliers.
    • Prepare detailed conceptual budgets and estimating from pre-construction, concept design, schematic design and design development documents.
    • Perform detailed take-offs of all trades. Initiate and manage entire bid process (construction management and general contractor) inclusive of preparation of detailed bid package.
    • Request and evaluate trade subcontractor proposals and vendor quotes.
    • Build, assess and maintain vendor relationships.
    • Lead or participate in meetings with subcontractors, clients, owners, and architects as needed.
    • Understand and research the market to identify associated costs of delivering a project including materials, labor, etc..
    • Work collaboratively with field team to communicate deliverables and procurement schedules.
    • Level subcontractor bid proposals for accuracy and scope gaps.
    • Prepare scope of work documentation by division.
    • Conduct site visits as needed.

    Qualifications needed:

    • 5 years' experience in construction estimating, including in budgeting and estimating within the construction industry
    • Experience in Division 9-Finishes required
    • Bachelor's (Preferred)
    • Strong knowledge of MS Office and Current TakeOff and Estimating Software such as but not limited to: On Screen TakeOff, Bluebeam, Sage Timberline, ProEst etc.
    • Proven ability to determine scope of work, quantities and to compile accurate estimates and hard bid packages with trade breakdowns, including allowances for risk, overhead, and profit margins
    • Demonstrated proficiency in reading construction drawings and specifications
    • Ability to value engineer a project
    • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English
    • Fully bilingual Preferred (English & Spanish)
