    Kevin Kelley Concepts is looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to direct the financial systems of our multiple businesses, as well as position our finances for continued expansion.


    Kevin Kelley Concepts is comprised of four verticals:
    Kelley Law Firm
    Kitchen + Kocktails Restaurants (locations in Dallas, Chicago and Washington, D.C.)
    Club Vivo nightclub
    Kanvas

    The CFO will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on company operations, helping us to analyze, strategize, and improve our financial profile.

    This seasoned strategist will not only understand current accounting practices and trends, but can confidently adapt to change, whether it's through growth or downsizing.

    Experience managing multi-state and multi-industry companies during periods of significant growth is highly preferred. Top candidates will have directed operations in either the restaurant or legal fields.
    This role can be based in Dallas, Chicago or Washington, D.C.

    Responsibilities

    Direct all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and help drive the company's financial strategy and hiring needs.

    Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same.
    Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities.
    Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments.

    Oversee payroll processing for all KKC companies, as well as the reporting and compliance of federal, state and local taxes; sales and use taxes; and mixed beverage taxes.

    Prepare financial statements for investors and the owner.
    Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement.

    Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows.

    Comply with national and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and taking appropriate action.
    Provide development opportunities for associates and timely feedback on their efforts.

    Qualifications
    Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA preferred.
    Minimum of seven years of private experience or three years of public experience.
    Extensive knowledge of regulatory issues, tax planning and GAAP.

    Mastery of standard CFO responsibilities (reporting, modeling, forecasting, strategic planning, etc.), and willingness to assist regional finance staff with on-the-ground accounting duties if needed as we expand.

    Experience establishing and growing teams, including providing steady leadership as the company works through the typical challenges associated with expansion into new markets.

    Ability to travel up to 25% as we add new staff and locations.
