    Description

    MARTOS Engineering is looking for full time Structural Engineers for immediate employment at our Nyack, NY office. Positions are available for entry-level graduates to six year experienced engineers. We are looking for detail oriented, self-motivated designers looking to expand their knowledge base and experience with a large variety of structural designs. At MARTOS engineering we strive to mentor new engineers with a variety of projects and responsibilities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform structural analysis and calculations
    • Prepare construction plans, details, and structural notes
    • Prepare structural reports
    • Review shop drawings
    • Perform site investigations and construction inspections
    • Coordinate directly with team members, architects, developers and contractors
    • Foster relationships with clients and develop new work opportunities
    • Mentor junior staff

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering with emphasis on Structures. (Master's degree preferred)
    • Proficiency in Auto CAD
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Engineering-In-Training Certification required

    Additional Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of industry standards and structural codes
    • Experience in designing with wood, steel, concrete, and reinforced masonry.
    • Proficiency with structural analysis programs such as RAM structural systems and STADD
