Structural Engineer

Location:
Salt Lake City, UT

Reports to:
Structural, Civil & Architectural Department Manager

Compensation:
$120K - $140K+

Requirements & Responsibilities of the

Structural Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
Professional Engineer license preferred.
5+ years of industrial structural engineering experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
Investigative nature with a strong interest in ensuring the safety and physical integrity of structures.
Strong attention to detail and demonstrable project management skills, including knowledge of construction processes and regulations.
Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, and Revit.
Experience with steel and concrete industrial projects.
Familiarity with rotating and vibration analysis.
Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
Design and configure structures to withstand stresses and pressures.
Prepare and oversee the production of drawings, reports, design criteria, and estimates.
Inspect construction work and provide technical advice to ensure structurally sound deliverables.
Utilize computer-aided design technology for simulations.
Select appropriate foundation and support materials.
Conduct calculations and analysis for pressures, loads, and stresses.
Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to develop proposals.
