    Job Summary:
    Provides patients with digital therapeutic experiences including playing video games, guiding staff on appropriate use of gaming and other technology, facilitating group gaming social events, and educating staff, patients and parents about current gaming trends and technologies. They will assist with assessing, installing, testing, maintaining, trouble shooting and supporting gaming systems, peripherals, and related hardware within the context of the Patient and Family-Centered Care Department.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provides digital media experiences for patients and families in playrooms, at special events and at bedside.
    • Provides technology assistance to members of the Patient and Family-Centered Care teams.
    • Creates programming and special events/activities for various age groups.
    • Supervises gaming volunteers and students.
    • Researches upcoming technologies and maintains current gaming equipment and technology.
    • Educates and coaches team members about technology process.
    Technical Capabilities
    • KNOWLEDGE OF GAMING AND DEVELOPMENT TOOLS (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery in use of gaming and other technologies for use by patients, families and team members.
    • FAMILIARITY WITH GAME TESTING (Intermediate): Maintains updated knowledge on all applicable gaming systems and performs new system configurations.
    • EDUCATION AND TRAINING (Intermediate): Disseminates technical knowledge, including formal training across the patient and family-centered team.
    • HUMAN GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT (Intermediate): Works closely with patients and families to teach and utilize appropriate technology.
    • STRONG PROBLEM-SOLVING AND CRITICAL THINKING (Intermediate): Builds relationships and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop resources for and conduct program pilot with patients and families.
