- Teaching assigned classes where needed under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs; helping students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content; assessing student learning outcomes.

Required Education and Experience
Candidates must possess a master's degree in psychology from an accredited university by the beginning date of employment, including credentials necessary for departmental approval to teach introductory and upper-level courses as needed. Demonstrated dedication to exceptional teaching and engagement with both the campus and local community is essential. Excellent communication skills, a commitment to fostering collegial relationships, and a strong dedication to undergraduate education are required.
Preferred Qualifications
Priority will be given to candidates with prior experience in university-level teaching and those eligible to instruct in related fields.

The University of South Carolina Union invites applications for a 9-month, full-time Instructor of Psychology. Teaching requirements include face-to-face and distance education, potentially including evening and/or weekend classes, along with teaching dual-enrollment classes at the USC Union campus and various affiliated high schools. This role will entail instructing five courses per semester (5-5 course load). A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, as well as participation in university and community service, is expected. The selected candidate will have the responsibility of teaching introductory psychology courses and any upper-level courses as needed.
