Your role overview as a Carpenter:

  • You will learn how to assemble and connect electrical equipment.
  • You will learn how to measure and analyze functions and systems.
  • You will be taught how to configure and program controls.
  • You will learn how to modify, expand, and design electrical systems.
  • You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining systems.
  • You will gain experience in operating technical systems.

Your prospects:


After a successful apprenticeship, you will be responsible for commissioning, operating, monitoring, testing, and repairing industrial systems and equipment as an electrician for industrial engineering.

But that's not all. New machines and systems will require you to stay up-to-date in your job. You will also have access to interesting opportunities for further qualifications that will prepare you for leadership positions.

Where and for how long will you be trained?


Training will take place at the ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt Vocational Training Center and the Oder Spree Upper Secondary Center, located in Eisenhüttenstadt.

The practical training in the company will take place during the 3rd year of apprenticeship. The total duration of the apprenticeship is 3.5 years (starting on September 1st). Shortening of the training period is possible with good performance in the company and vocational school.
