- Engage with cross-functional departments to provide expert knowledge of ASC606 guidance for complex revenue contracts and transactions.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of all standard and non-standard new sales contracts, with a focus on identifying multiple performance obligations and ensuring proper revenue recognition.
- Research technical revenue accounting issues for complex revenue arrangements, documenting the company's position in a formal memo.
- Serve as a technical accounting resource for the team, providing guidance and support on complex and unusual contracts to ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline the contract review process and enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Revenue Accounting function, while ensuring strict adherence to SOX compliance standards
- Provide support to external and internal auditors during quarterly and annual audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and explanations are available to facilitate a thorough and streamlined audit process.
- Qualifications include:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- 6+ years of experience in a public accounting firm with enterprise software and/or SaaS industry/client experience OR/AND a publicly traded, high-tech organization
- Proficient in the use of NetSuite and Salesforce, with the ability to filter and analyze large datasets
- Strong understanding of ASC 606 principles and US GAAP
- Capable of working with cross functional teams
- Demonstrate ability to spearhead and project manage major programs to successful completion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor
