**Job Description: Transportation Coordinator**
PM transport is currently recruiting for a professional and reliable Transportation Coordinator to act as the companys primary contact for On-Time Delivery tracking and compliance as well as handling emergency and non-emergency in transit and appt. scheduling calls/emails. In this position, you will be in charge of answering all emails from customers and vendors in a timely manner, monitoring routes for on-time delivery, handling in transit issues such as store refusals and, OS&D. Scheduling delivery appt.s and/or facilitating appt. needs between the customer and vendor, providing delivery ETAs and appt.s to the customers and field reps, communicating all in transit issues to the customers. You are expected to work some over-time and weekends during the 12 weeks of our Peak Season. The ability to multi-task in stressful conditions is essential, and you must be able to take appropriate action with little supervision. Must have excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
**Responsibilities:**
Answer emergency and non-emergency emails and phone calls
Proactively address issues and suggest solutions
Respond to all in transit issues and follow-up by coordinating with appropriate department, customer, or vendor
Manage multiple emails
Prioritize emails according to urgency
Monitor routes for on-time delivery
Schedule delivery appt.s and/or facilitate appt needs between customer and vendor
Provide delivery ETAs and appt.s to the customers and field reps
Proactively communicate all in transit issues to the customers
Effectively manage and distribute workload to In Transit-Transportation Assistant
Update appt. logs
**Requirements:**
High school diploma or equivalent
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in similar role
Strong knowledge of transportation/logistics industry
Supervisory Experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in using web based platforms to schedule appt.s
Proficient in Excel and Outlook
Ability to work well under pressure
Some over-time and weekends expected during the 12 weeks of Peak Season
