  • Salary range: $85, $105, The NYC Housing Authority (NYCHA) seeks a qualified attorney to join NYCHA's EEO and Fair Housing Investigations Unit as an Attorney Investigator. The EEO and Fair Housing Investigations Unit is situated within NYCHA's Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The Investigator will report directly to the Deputy Director of the EEO and Fair Housing Investigations Unit, with a dotted line to the Vice President of ODEI.
  • This position requires strong writing and analytical skills, and the ability to work productively in a team setting.
  • Intake employee complaints of discrimination, sexual harassment, or retaliation.
  • Assess employee complaints and determine appropriate actions.
  • Perform internal investigations of EEO and fair housing complaints.
  • Conduct interviews of parties and witnesses.
  • Draft investigative finding reports.
  • Assist in the participation of conciliation or other conflictresolution methods.
  • Research legal cases, EEO policies, or other regulations as necessary.
  • Assist in DEI special projects or trainings as needed.
  • Maintain organized files in a case management system.
  • Provide other guidance to employees and managers as needed.

  • One year of satisfactory United States legal experience subsequent to admission to any state bar; or
