Duties and Responsibilities
Serves as the Director of the Shidler College of Business' Executive Degree Programs.
Coordinates and oversees admissions, marketing and recruitment for the Executive MBA, Master of Human Resource Management, Vietnam Executive MBA, and other specialized master programs.
Establishes and implements short and long-range strategic marketing, recruitment, and programmatic goals, objectives, plans, policies, and operating procedures for Executive Education programs.
Monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement and support of the Executive Education programs in alignment with Shidler College of Business' overall academic mission and tuition revenue goals.
Develops and maintains business relationships with leading local and global clients.Participates in and conducts networking, promotional, and recruiting events off-campus.
Screens prospective students, and coordinates and reviews applications with the admissions committee.
Trains, supervises, and evaluates support staff to ensure the successful operation of the Executive degree programs, specialized master programs, and non-degree/custom programs.
Collects and analyzes data to evaluate current recruitment strategies for the Executive Education programs, custom programs and specialized master programs Makes recommendations to Dean and Senior Administrators regarding recruitment and enrollment for executive education programs.
Works under the direction of the Dean to carry out the strategic plan and direction set forth for the Executive Degree programs, specialized masters programs, and non-degree/custom programs.
Prepares, negotiates, and updates agreements with collaborating academic institutions and supporting contractors.
Represents Shidler College of Business Executive Degree programs at recruitment events across the country, with the goal of attracting a highly qualified and diverse applicant pool.
Collaborates in the design and development of collateral materials used in student recruitment activities for the Shidler College of Business Executive Education Center.
Develops programs, creative initiatives, and events to appropriately engage faculty, staff, current students and Executive Education alumni to participate in the recruitment and enrollment of future executive education students.
Travels to various geographical locations across Oahu, neighbor islands, US mainland, or foreign countries for visitations, presentations, or college fairs.
Lifts or carries exhibit or other materials for visitations, presentations, or college fairs.Works outside of normal scheduled hours: including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
Engages in professional activities such as serving as an active member of a professional organization (e.g., Executive MBA Council (EMBAC), Association of Science and Technology (ASTC), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Consortium for University-Based Executive Education (UNICON), and/or other relevant organizations to identify trends and strategies for program development.

Education and Professional Work Experience
Possession of a Baccalaureate degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Education or related field and 5 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for human resources, recruitment, management, sales, career services, or related fields; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
Considerable working knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the area of human resources, recruitment, management, sales, or career services, as demonstrated by the broad knowledge of the full range of pertinent standard and evolving concepts, principles and methodologies.
Considerable working knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and theories and systems associated with human resources, recruitment, management, sales, higher education admissions, or career services.
Demonstrated ability to resolve wide ranging complex problems through the use of creative reasoning and logic to accurately determine the cause of the problems and the resolution of the problems in an effective, innovative and timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing, verbally and by preparation of reports and other materials.
Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team leaders and members, and individuals.Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer, apply work processing software.

Supplemental Minimum Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of graduate enrollment management, admissions, recruitment and ethical practices typical of an institution of higher education.
Demonstrated knowledge of systems, methods, materials, and techniques used in marketing and promotion as it relates to student recruitment.
Ability to work outside normally scheduled hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to travel independently to various geographical locations in a timely manner.
Requirement may be fulfilled by a valid Hawai'i driver's license (Class 3), comparable driver's license, or other means of transportation, which meet position needs.
Ability to engage in travel off island, including to the neighbor islands, mainland, and foreign countries, several times a year for purposes including visitations, presentations, and college fairs.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds independently, or with assistance.Ability to deal tactfully but firmly with others.
Extensive experience working with students, faculty and administrators in higher education.
Desirable Qualifications
Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Education, or related field.
Experience in directing, administering and coordinating executive education programs.
Established working relationships with the business community for opportunities of developing and recruiting for executive education programs.
Demonstrated ability to develop, maintain, and manage strong, collaborative relationships with key business decision makers, including those at the most senior levels with high profile companies.
Knowledge of emergent trends and innovations in executive education programs, higher education recruitment and admissions.Experience coordinating complex, multi-organization programs and initiatives effectively.
Experience in the areas of human resources, recruitment, marketing, higher education admissions, student counseling and advising.
Demonstrated ability to lead change effectively in complex organizations.
Understanding of the University of Hawaii system and its administrative structure and policies.
