    Instructional Specialist (226 Days) Title Funded ANTICIPATED-(RTP Description
  • Collaborate with instructional staff to effectively increase student achievement and program outcomes by progress monitoring 12th grade students and assisting the students with their post-secondary transition into college or a career.
  • Provide guidance supporting the utilization of instructional materials, resources, supplies, and equipment; and recommend ancillary materials and programs tailored to support P-TECH/ECHS students.
  • Build collaborative coaching/training partnerships with campuses stemming from data trends that support and drive the academic development students enrolled in the program.
  • Facilitate the establishment of program-wide norms, terms for essential content standards, blueprints, goals and objectives for effective student support.
  • Collaborate with campus content leads and staff on a weekly basis to determine the CIF focus, agreed upon goals, and intended outcomes of the campus PLCs.
  • Actively monitor collaborative work efforts to include identification of learning goals, utilization of assessments, review of dual credit student work, high school and college course performance trends, and use the data to drive instructional practices and interventions.
  • Assist with the design of strategic options to guide student achievement through implementation of instructional practices/programs that accelerate learning.
  • Support the implementation of wrap-around supports and strategic activities to strengthen the academic growth of early college students.
  • Work collaboratively with higher education partners to help increase student success in the program.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
    • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Texas Teacher Certificate in Education.
  • Three years of directly related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing educational programs in a high school setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the early college program and instructional practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor individuals in an educational setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in working with students (grades 9-12) from various demographic areas and diverse ethnicities.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in managing multiple subordinates.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage external parties and build relationships.
