ABOUT THE JOB

As part of the East Housing Team, the Program Associate for the PLHA (Permanent Local Housing Allocation) program plays a crucial role in providing administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of the program.

Responsibilities include managing schedules, coordinating meetings, maintaining records, and assisting with program reporting.

The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.

The Program Associate will also contribute to program development and implementation, supporting initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for individuals experiencing housing instability.


Position Responsibilities include:


  • Provide administrative and clerical support to management and direct line staff.
  • Coordinate purchases and procurement of approved requests for supplies, equipment, and client assistance items.
  • Assist with research, preparation, and written documentation for special projects, presentations, and meetings.
  • Plan and coordinate department meetings.
  • Assist with research, planning, and execution of program activities, ensuring goals are met.
  • Coordinating logistics, managing databases, and communicating with stakeholders to facilitate smooth operation.
  • Monitor program progress, prepare reports, and contribute to evaluation efforts to assess impact.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two (2) years' experience working in a relevant field.
  • Lived experience is preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • All levels of education and experience are welcome.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
  • Valid California Driver's License and proof of insurance.
  • Reliable personal vehicle in good working condition for transportation to and from work assignments

Physical Demands:


  • Sitting for long periods of time in an office setting.
  • Frequent travel in a vehicle to client, agency and/or community meetings.
  • Frequent note taking and recording case files by hand.

Work Environment:


  • Office space is shared.
  • The noise level fluctuates from quiet to noisy.
