Join us as the Mental Health and Wellness Specialist, working under the guidance of the Coordinator of Student Health Services.
In this role, you will spearhead the planning, execution, and assessment of a dynamic student mental health and wellness outreach program.
Your mission? To cultivate an environment that nurtures student well-being, promotes and fosters the utilization of health services, encourages peer support, and champions positive health behaviors.
Collaboration is key as you work alongside our dedicated SHS team and campus partners to lead initiatives, enhance student education, and advocate for holistic wellness practices.
This is a temporary position unless authorized to extend for a longer period depending on the need and/or performance.Example of Duties

Monterey Peninsula College (MPC) Student Health Services (SHS) offers clinical, educational, survivor advocacy and psychological support to MPC students.
SHS is deeply committed to fosteringhealth and well-being by providing high quality, integrative health care and education delivered in a culturally competent and compassionate manner to support the academic goals and retention of our diverse student population.
MPC works in collaboration with Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula which provides an on-site Registered Nurse.In addition, our staff includes Health & Wellness Specialists, Licensed Therapists, Associate Therapists, Social Work students from Cal State Monterey Bay and a Medical Director- all providing a safe and confidential environment for our students.
Student Health Services welcomes staff who are team players, with an interest and experience working with students with a wide range of ethnic, cultural, and gender identities, who understand the importance of empathy and compassionate care.
