    Description

    Iconic French Brasserie Balthazar restaurant located in the SoHo section of New York City is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and be able to work well under pressure. We offer a competitive starting salary and a pleasant, professional working environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace
    • Ensure all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and quality
    • Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
    • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role
    • Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
