We specialize in loading, less-than-truckload, same day delivery and expedited services. Sutton Transport provides shipping tools, including document retrieval and order tracing services. We are recruiting for a Weights and Research Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing, interpreting, and optimizing weight-related data within the Less Than Truckload (LTL) transportation sector.
Your primary responsibilities will revolve around conducting detailed research, data analysis, and providing actionable insights to enhance operational efficiency, pricing strategies, and overall performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Freight Analysis:
Analyze LTL freight data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for optimization. Evaluate shipment volumes, weights, destinations, and delivery timelines to improve routing efficiency and minimize transit times.
Performance Metrics:
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to LTL transportation operations.
Track metrics such as on-time delivery rates, load factors, trailer utilization, and transportation costs per mile to assess performance and drive continuous improvement.
Rate Analysis:
Analyze LTL freight rates and pricing structures to ensure competitiveness and profitability. Evaluate carrier contracts, tariffs, and rate schedules to negotiate favorable terms and optimize freight costs.
Data Management:
Manage LTL transportation-related data, including shipment manifests, bill of lading documents, carrier invoices, and customer delivery requirements. Organize data effectively and leverage transportation management systems (TMS) for data analysis and reporting.
Qualifications:
- One year in a W&R position preferred.
- Proven experience in LTL transportation operations, logistics analysis, or supply chain management.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and mathematical modeling.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and freight optimization software.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data and analysis findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities

Pay:
$ $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
