- Responsible for assisting in the design, documentation, payment processing and communication of Sonesta's incentive compensation programs (including, but are not limited to; Sales, Hotel, Franchise and Corporate incentive, commission, and bonus plans).
- In collaboration with internal partners, builds and maintains incentive compensation plan documents for distribution. Manage the distribution and status tracking of incentive compensation plan documents.
- Partner closely with colleagues in finance, business units, and HR to design, implement and maintain the systems, and processes in support of Sonesta's incentive compensation programs.
- Partner with finance, business units, HR/HR Operations, and payroll on planning for incentive payments. Ensure payments meet required deadlines and on an accurate basis.
- Plans for and ensure payments receive required review and approvals.
- Monitors the effectiveness of existing practices and recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives.
- Function as a subject matter expert on all incentive compensation plans.
- Assists with the development and distribution of training, presentation, and other materials for compensation program rollouts.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in compensation program design, support, or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills (advance level)
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to partner, collaborate and influence across functional areas
- Experience implementing process and systems
- Ability to operate in and be successful in a changing environment
- Have good judgment and can balance business strategy, organizational context and data in driving toward solutions
- Confident in communicating with all levels of the organization
