Metal Bender Apprentice - Essential Functions Include but Not Limited to:

This position is Outdoor and indoor. You MUST be comfortable working in all the weather elements
Positive attitude with good communication skills
Be able to take constructive criticism
Comply with all OSHA, job site and construction safety procedures
Create metal parts based on verbal and/or written instruction. Willing to learn how to read and understand prints.
Strong understanding of tool safety when working with metal and around other people
Daily repair of any found issues including documentation of completed work
Assist during construction of parts and assembly and other experiments after daily tasks are complete
Strong knowledge of welding, bending and metal fabrication practices including but not limited to Galvanized steel, stainless steel, bronze, aluminum, and alloys a plus
Willing to teach others, share skills and experiences to better and further the team's development.
Flexible, open to new ideas and able to adjust to adversities.
Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment with rapid turnover of objectives
Assist in generation of new ideas to resolve problems with original design
Assist with product evolution to reduce cost, increase construction efficiency, and reduce field install time on large scale projects
Assist management to complete task assignments in a timely manner, and request resources as needed
Tasks may include travel to other sites within driving distance with management or on own as needed
Maintain a clean work environment
PPE is required on site

Metal Bender Apprentice - Required Skills and Education:

Degree in manufacturing/steel construction discipline or equivalent experience
High level of competency working with power and/or manufacturing tools

Experience working with Finger Break/Box Break for bending.

Experience with gasless FluxCore
Massachusetts Hoisting Engineer 1C, 2A licensure preferred
Attitude and aptitude of a team player who will support other team members when needed
Ability to read and understand prints
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking skills and ability to work independently
High level of integrity with strong emphasis on making and meeting commitments
High sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize to meet required deadlines
Some construction, solar and knowledge of key trades and tools
Must have a clean, valid US Drivers License.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
OSHA 10 certification

$50, $60,000.00 per year
