    Job Description Summary / TWC Summary
  • Accountable for the successful administration of the day to day technical processes which support the administration of Financial aid and Veterans Affairs. Accountable for the daily and periodic data exchanges between the Federal systems and Banner. Assists with the operation, configuration, upgrading, testing and development of the Banner system as it relates to the financial aid module. Contribute to assessing, improving, and maintain the operational and technical aspects of Financial Aid while meeting regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. Serve as the primary technical contact between the Office of Student Financial Success, OIT, and third
- party partners. Responsible for organizing and facilitating scholarship functions, including scholarship database administration, and expenditures and eligibility to include monitoring NCAA regulations.
Essential Duties Summary

  • Hold a primary role in Banner system administration and production support, oversee maintenance of the Banner Financial Aid module to achieve desired results from varied processes, contribute to the control and updating of the module, and manage the testing of updates and new development.
  • Serve as point of contact for financial aid related Eullician tickets and Banner issues; researching Ellucian tickets, updates, and the commons for others experiencing issues and/or identified resolutions/work arounds.
  • Manage updates to the MyTSU portal as needed with assistance from OIT.
  • Work in conjunction with the enrollment team to maintain and enhance use of Slate portal to improve the student experience with Student Financial Success and provide additional processing tools for staff.
  • Monitor and develop UC4 tools as needed to automate financial aid processes to include creating, modifying, scheduling, and overseeing the scheduling of processes.
  • Assist the work study coordinator with HR and payroll functionality as needed to improve timeliness of timesheet submission and reconciliation.
  • Assist with FAFSA's loads and CSS profiles; monitor suspense and cleanup process, monitor and assist with FAFSA correction files, and maintain EdConnect software and database integrity.
  • Design custom and maintain current Argos reports to assist department with regular and adhoc needs.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of financial aid policies and procedures. Identify ways to leverage technology to improve efficiency.
  • Ability to act as a project manager understanding milestones, deadlines, workload management, etc.
  • Contributes to assessing, improving, and maintaining the operational and technical aspects of the financial aid processes, focusing on best practices in technology utilization and limiting manual processes.
  • Work with the enrollment team, departmental stakeholders, and colleges to coordinate expenditures of all available funds to maximize student enrollment, retention, and graduation.
  • Maintains scholarship database (scholarship universe), ensure funds are appropriately awarded based on university, state or federal guidelines.
  • Propose and work with the Executive Director to manage the scholarship budget to ensure the best use of funds and resources at all times.
  • Monitor the scholarship program budget and forecast annual funding needs.
  • Coordinate with Student Accounting to ensure payments from external agencies and veteran's benefits are appropriately reflected in award packages.
  • Supervise the development of the scholarship program materials including the university scholarship website.
