Vocational Specialist
Interborough Developmental and Consultation Center is hiring a Vocational Specialist Assertive Community Treatment Program (ACT)
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assess job readiness for all program clients
- Provide vocational placement assistance, including education, training, workplace readiness programs
- Job and career counseling for those determined to be work ready
- Assists with resolving any barriers to obtaining employment
- Provides support through all phases of vocational services
- Develop and implement resume writing and workplace skill workshops based on client needs
- Create additional trainings and workshops based on client needs as determined by the program
- Interfacing with other agencies providing vocational educational opportunities and make appropriate referrals
- Attend agency and program staff meetings.
- All other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
- Able to provide vocational support both individually and in group settings.
- Experience in vocational/employment counseling.
- Willing to work in a variety of settings including in the field, clients' homes, in the office, and through telehealth.
Required Field work: 75% of the time
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 2 years of experience in vocational/employment counseling

SALARY RANGE:
$55,000 - $60,000 (Based on experience and licensure. )
