We are seeking to hire dynamic, articulate and engaging team player as HR Assistant.

The primary responsibilities of this individual will be to provide high level Human Resources support to our dedicated staff of professionals.


About the Opportunity

Responsibilities:


The Human Resources Assistant will:

  • Process full life cycle of employees from onboarding to off boarding
  • Process full life cycle of employees going out on Medical leave, FMLA and PFL
  • Assist with benefits enrollment/tracking (new hires & qualifying events for current staff)
  • Training & Development: Assist with tracking various trainings for new hires, as well as annual trainings for all staff via our training portal Relias (NYS Sexual Harassment/HIPAA, etc.).
  • Enter various employee data into payroll system
  • File documents into employees electronic personnel record files
  • Respond to all verifications of employment and thirdparty requests timely
  • Maintain employee information by entering and updating employment and statuschange data on the HRIS system and local drive
  • Maintain employee files and protect operation by keeping human resource information confidential
  • Ad Hoc reporting as needed
  • Perform other related duties and projects, as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of Human Resources and/or related work experience
  • Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree required
  • Experience with onboarding new hires/ verifying employment eligibility via Everify
  • Experience with processing Medical Leave (NYS DBL), FMLA and Paid Family Leave (PFL) processing & tracking. Working with 3rd party disability insurance vendors.
  • Experience working with HRIS and time/attendance systems
  • Knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines, including federal and state employment and benefits laws
  • Computer savvy
  • Microsoft Office proficient (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Solid problem solving and time management skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized and punctual

Hourly Rate:
$26.44-$30.04 (
Based on experience and licensure)
