    Details:
    Our client in Johnstown is seeking an Accounting Manager to join the team


    Duties:

    • Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess
    accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards as well as reporting to
    management.

    • Responsible for all balance sheet accounts and reconciliations and customer and product profitability analysis
    • Prepare and submit quarterly / yearend state and federal tax reporting as well as review quarter and yearend flux reports.
    • Recognizes, anticipates and resolves tax issues; makes recommendations.
    • Responsible to evaluate tax rates and options for reducing the expense for property, liability, and local taxes.
    • Supervise segment"s accounting department personnel being responsible for accounts receivable including developing, maintaining, and monitoring customer credit files and limits, accounts payable including check/payment approvals, balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring all systems are operating properly ensuring SOX compliance and adequacy of internal controls
    • Budgeting, business planning and forecasting
    • Lead significant financial analysis projects including capital budget, customer, product, and channel
    profitability, and manufacturing and process alternatives analysis

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor"s degree obtained through an accredited institution in accounting or finance
    • Minimum 5 years general accounting experience including experience in a standard cost environment and in manufacturing
    • Advanced mathematical skills, understanding of complex reading material, composing involved material, and advanced communication skills
    • Knowledge of GAAP
    • Strong computer skills including MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Hyperion (or similar reporting software)
    • Supervisory experience
    • CPA/CMA certification and lean office/manufacturing experience are pluses
