OVERALL PURPOSE

This position provides comprehensive support to students that are in line with BMCHS mission, vision, core values, and Catholic culture.

This position is required to conduct business in a professional and cordial manner that will uphold the integrity and reputation of Bishop McCort Catholic High School (BMCHS).

This position maintains a thorough working knowledge of and adheres to the policies, regulations, and procedures of BMCHS.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned)

• Develop schemes of work and weekly lesson plans.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for learning activities.
• Assign and grade all classwork, homework, tests and assignments.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
• Manage student behavior in classroom by establishing and enforcing the rules.
• Communicate necessary information to students, parents, colleagues, and administration.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Participate in In-Services and trainings as required.
• Participate in extracurricular activities (as a moderator).
• Use relevant technology to support instruction.
• Order and prioritize need for classroom supplies upon hire and at the end of each school year.
• Maintain a clean and orderly classroom.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING

• Bachelor's Degree in education or a related field required; Master's Degree preferred
• 0 to 2 years' related experience required

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS

• Pennsylvania Teacher Certification preferred
• Required child abuse and criminal history clearances
