    Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Minimum 5 years related experienceThree or more years of experience working with state and federal education grantsExperience writing and editing experience both for print and digital mediaExperience in managing a comprehensive strategic communications, media relations, and/or marketing program to advance an organizations mission and goalsCreative and thoughtful ideas and expertise on how new media technologies can be utilizedExperience in planning, writing, editing, and producing newsletters, press releases, annual reports, marketing literature, and other mediaExcellent interpersonal, analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skillsStrong personal initiative and ability to communicate the goals and significance of the department with diverse stakeholders with confidence and credibility, both orally and in writingDemonstrated ability to take initiative and work as a team member


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Five or more years of non-profit education experienceGraphic design and/or video editing experienceEducation / Certification


    REQUIRED:
    Bachelors degree in communications, business administration, or related field

    Masters degree in communications, business administration, or related fieldResponsibilities This position is directly responsible to the Director of Partnerships with duties including, but not limited to, the following:Support communication and dissemination goals for department initiativesCreate high-quality communication products including newsletters, guidebooks, website content, blogs, social media posts, videos, etc.

    that support the mission and vision of the department.
    Develop and implement an integrated strategic communications plan to increase the visibility of TxCEE across key stakeholder audiences.
    Serve as a spokesperson or presenter to disseminate information from federal, state, or local projects.
    Manage social media and website design and content.
    Support communications/dissemination projects associated with ongoing federal grants.
    Provide leadership in planning for events and summer institutes.

    Cultivate positive relationships with school districts, businesses, nonprofit organizations, elected officials, institutes of higher education, governmental agencies, and other stakeholders.

    Ability to work independently and make judgments and decisions within program guidelines.
    Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Demonstrates high degree of computer proficiency.
    Attend and participate in all meetings of TxCEE as appropriate.
    Facilitate presentations at local, state and national conferences.
    Acquire, develop, and demonstrate new skills by participating in professional growth activities.
    Exhibit a professional demeanor and maintain confidentiality when communicating with staff from school districts and partner organizations.
    Performing other duties that may be assigned.
