WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Ready to make a difference? Join our team as a Support Specialist Operations Mobile Cleaning You'll ensure the pristine condition of CapMetro buses and service areas.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Clean buses while in service, including door handles, stanchion poles, and seat grab handles.
- Remove trash, debris, and large pieces of litter on and around buses while using Personal Protective Equipment.
- Sanitize benches, high contact poles, buses, and surfaces using an electrostatic gun or spray bottles.
- Service multiple transit hubs and stops throughout the day.
- Report damage or concerns to the Operations Control Center and Program Manager.
- Replenish protective products and other supplies on buses.
- Stand at specific stop locations and intersections throughout the city to perform observations when requested.
- Assist agency with set up and break down special companysponsored events.
- Support Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority's Safety Management Systems (SMS) process by following safety and security policies, considering safety in every action and reporting safety and security concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned and/or required.
WHAT YOU BRING
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Applicant must have at least one (1) year of experience working in a service/cleaning industry.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Skill in reading and interpreting CapMetro routes, schedules, and maps.
- Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and in person.
- Ability to interact with public in a positive manner
- Ability to review and check work for accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to pass successfully pass a Defensive Driving Course is preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is performed in an outside environment and may have exposure to inclement weather and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
The Incumbent must have the ability to walk, bend, stoop, balance, crawl and reach for at least 8 hours a day, work in varying weather conditions, and lift, up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Mobility Status:
As a
Circulating position, the incumbent has an assigned gathering space. This is usually an operations position.
The employee is expected to come in daily for check-in and check-out processes but does not work in an individual workspace.
