    The Packaging manager executes rhode's robust 3-year product development portfolio plan.

    Reporting to the VP of Product Development & Innovation, he will be managing the packaging development for our cosmetic products from concept through commercialization.

    He will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of packaging development, ensuring that our products are presented in visually appealing, functional, and environmentally sustainable packaging This is a highly collaborative role that partners closely with rhode internal teams and contract manufacturers.

    OverviewSupport the entire Packaging process by assisting in the day to day tasks from concept to launchMaintain all Packaging folders and files, including packaging trackers, vendor directory, range boards, etc.

    Collaborate with product development, marketing, and operation teams to understand packaging requirements and timelinesAssist in sourcing and evaluating packaging materials, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure quality and cost-effectivenessAssist with the packaging design process, including artwork development, mock-up creation, and proofingReview technical drawings and perform basic functional testsReview artwork and help route for approvalsCollaborate with vendor to create and size unit cartonsRequest, review and route dielines Create BOMs and assembly instructionsReview first production samples and route for approvalDevelop and maintain relationships with packaging suppliers to ensure timely production and delivery of packaging materialsSchedule vendor calls, recap, and follow up on deliverablesStay informed about industry trends, innovations, and best practices in cosmetic packagingOther duties as assignedTo be successful:Excellent attention to detail and quality control standardsMust be a driver of results, ensuring that all key milestones are met in a timely mannerCreative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvementStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partnersQualifications:Education:BA or BS preferred3+ years experience in a similar packaging roleTravel:Less than 10% travel for this position.

    The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 - $115,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
