Director, FP&A

.

Role is hybrid.

This role is a hybrid opportunity that requires a local commutable distance to the HQ Costa Mesa, CA office as needed.

About The Role

As the Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A you will be responsible for providing analytical support for both the Ultra and Plum brands in the FP&A process.

You will play a crucial role in tracking & reporting financial performance by brand/business unit and distill key drivers of results into useful insights to support strategic business decisions.

This position requires strong financial acumen, keen analytical skills, the highest standard of accuracy and organization, and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to other members of the finance team and across the organization.

Your usual day of awesomeness includes:

Support the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analytics.
Track performance against targets and assist in providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with business teams to identify and implement process efficiencies, improve data integrity, and improve the quality of forecasts.
Prepare financial reports, analyses, and insights for communication to senior management and brand stakeholders.
Provide clear and concise explanations of financial performance, key variances, and assist in the development of actionable recommendations.

Monitor key drivers of financial performance by brand/business unit and evaluate against relevant benchmarks to identify business risks and opportunities.

Project Management

You've got a Type A personality and write all tasks down and smile when you check them off.

You understand how to project manage and have even used one of those fancy project management tools to keep you and the team on track.

You understand how important your analysis is in order to make key business decisions with senior leadership. Understanding who the stakeholders are and what each person does is just as important. The scope of work ranges from fast-paced ad hoc projects to ongoing promo and profitability support.

The Basics

You can put together a P/L sheet while re-watching the last season of Game of Thrones (the last season was a bust, but we won't spoil it for you).

You understand the fundamentals of cash flow statements, GAAP standards, and can interpret income statements. You understand how revenue works and where expense should be and how depreciation should be calculated.

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance.
3-5 years FP&A experience in progressive finance roles.
Demonstrated experience in financial forecasting, modeling, and analysis, including deep experience working in Microsoft Excel, Snowflake & Python.
Experience in a rapid-growth company.

In support of the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the range of starting pay for this role is $105,000 - $115,000.
