    Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years visually impaired experience required.

    A local School District is now accepting applications for the uping school year.
    Job Details:

    • Contract Position
    • Full-Time
    • Onsite
    • Elementary students
    • 3 students need acmodations for teaching/learning visual impairments
    • Onsite instructions
    • New Orleans, LA
    • Applicant is Assigned to 1 or multiple school districts
    • Primary Duties:
      • Providing Mental Health Support to Social Emotional Learning and Behavior Needs Populations, Case Management, IEPs, and Collaborating with Special Education Director.
    • TVI needs to provide specialized instruction and services required to meet the unique educational needs for students who are identified as Visually Impaired to include:
      • Preparing instructional and classroom materials
      • Transcribe materials from print to Braille and Braille to print
      • Operate Braille equipment and/or puter in transcribing materials from print to Braille
      • Provides specialized instruction in Braille and instruction in a variety of instructional methods and techniques to include:
      • Low vision & visual efficiency skills
      • Concept development & adaptive academic skills
      • Daily living skills
