The Institutional Partnerships Group within Argonne's Science and Technology Partnerships and Outreach Division is sponsoring a Workforce Development internship during Summer 2024. The intern will support the workforce development team with data collection, data analysis, and workforce development program design and implementation tasks.

Support the concept design of workforce development dashboard.
Conduct data collection, design of metrics, and data analysis of supply-side information and demand-side workforce information, collecting, analyzing, modeling, and interpreting data.
Conduct research on apprenticeships programs and help design program ideas.
Build workforce partnership inventory of community colleges, technical training programs, unions, workforce development organizations, and other relevant partners.
Track Department of Energy and clean tech industry trends related to clean energy storage workforce topics.
Support communications and social media efforts including design of brochures, website, and outreach materials.
Contribute to overall workforce development team projects and other to-be-assigned duties.

Education and Experience Requirements

This position is open to both Graduate Students and Undergraduate Student applicants (for undergraduate students, must have completed at least two years of education).
Must be currently enrolled full-time at an accredited institution and have completed at least one semester of schooling by the start of the program.
Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
If accepting an offer, must pass a screening drug test.
Majors: Economics, Business Administration, Human Resources, General Social Sciences, Statistics, Business Analytics.
Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale.
Ability to be highly motivated and self-starting on individual work assignments.
Desire to learn more about workforce development, STEM education, or human resources.
Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Outlook, Excel) required.
Knowledge of and experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools preferred.
Aptitude for data collection and analysis.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
