    As the VP of Compensation and Benefits, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our compensation and benefits strategy, ensuring that it supports our business objectives, drives employee engagement and retention, and maintains our position as an industry leader. You will provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction to our Compensation and Benefits team and collaborate with HR leaders and business executives to ensure alignment with Shift4's business strategy.

    Requirements:
    • Design and execute transformative global Compensation and Benefits programs, encompassing base pay, short-term and long-term incentives, health and welfare benefits, and pioneering wellness initiatives.
    • Cultivate a high-performance Compensation and Benefits team, driving the execution of all programs and initiatives.
    • Drive process improvements and efficiencies in compensation and benefits activities while maintaining market competitiveness to support recruitment, engagement, and talent retention.
    • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies and programs to foster employee understanding and appreciation of the company's total rewards.
    • Build strategic partnerships with vendors and consultants, leveraging relationships to assess plan renewals for cost-effectiveness and negotiate improved offerings.
    • Oversee global payroll processing, maintaining timely and accurate transactions, and conducting regular audits.
    • Manage our health, welfare, and retirement plan strategy, acting as a fiduciary for our 401(k) plan and providing expertise to the Leadership team.
    • Guide the development and execution of total rewards strategies for business growth, including mergers and acquisitions (M&As), new markets, and groundbreaking initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, leading routine audits and guiding team members in administering benefits consistently and in accordance with applicable tax codes.
    • Oversee our equity and stock programs, including Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) and our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
    • Provide guidance on job architecture, job leveling, and job evaluation practices to ensure internal equity and alignment with business strategy.
    • Maintain up-to-date plan documents, Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), Form 5500 filings, and spearhead efforts in discrimination testing and annual plan audits.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field of study.
    • 10+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits, with an emphasis on global strategy development and execution.
    • Proven success in leading a geographically diverse global employee workforce.
    • Demonstrated experience guiding and developing high-performing compensation and benefits teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • M&A experience with a proven track record in designing and executing integration plans.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of 401(k) fiduciary responsibilities, payroll/tax principles, and federal/state HR regulations.
    • In-depth understanding of federal and state law, compliance requirements (HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, ERISA), and general HR practices.
    • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, adept at researching, following up, and resolving intricate issues.
    • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple competing tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience working for publicly traded companies is preferred.
    • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or similar designation is a plus.
