    BNY Mellon Wealth Management, a pillar in the wealth management domain, is dedicated to assisting affluent individuals and their families in creating, preserving, and growing their wealth across generations and market fluctuations. Through a bespoke service model focused on five Active Wealth practices - Investing, Borrowing, Spending, Managing Taxes, Protecting Legacies - clients in the U.S. and globally are empowered to achieve sustainable after-tax performance to preserve their prosperity for future generations.

    We are looking for an Associate Client Strategist to join our esteemed Wealth Management team. In 2024, we aim to fill positions in key locations such as Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Miami, Atlanta, Boston, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Newport Beach, and San Francisco.

    In this role, you will drive impact through:

    • Participation in a comprehensive two-year sales career and skills program focused on equipping you with the expertise, knowledge, and experience to provide BNY Mellon Wealth Management's complete suite of services to high-net-worth individuals primarily via personal interactions and networking with key influencers.
    • Engaging with local partners to observe and engage in sales activities, leveraging insights from regional management, Wealth Managers, and Client Strategists. You will receive guidance from a global sales coach, senior leadership, the Program Director, and Talent & Development resources. Upon program completion, you will be tasked with achieving revenue targets, cultivating leads, and navigating the sales process to closure, ultimately transitioning ongoing client management to an assigned Wealth Manager.
    • Learning to identify, engage, and nurture new business influencers and suitable clients to bolster our portfolio. You will refine your skills to influence effectively, stay relevant, demonstrate expertise, and foster connections between individuals and solutions.
    • Building Relationships & Partnerships - Establishing field engagement by collaborating with senior sales advisors and the regional team to forge a community network. Active involvement in community organizations and non-profits, identifying and nurturing key relationships.
    • Professional Development - Expanding your network, fostering relationships within the industry, and enhancing your expertise through internal learning modules. Obtaining qualifications such as the Cannon program (Year 1) and CFP (Year 2) and actively participating in all learning sessions.
    • Embracing Best Practices - Leveraging internal ties to enhance your presentation skills, seeking feedback, engaging in role-playing exercises, and partnering proactively with senior sales teams.
    • Continuous Improvement - Regularly presenting to peers, incorporating feedback for growth, engaging in role-playing sessions with mentors, and scheduling periodic check-ins to review progress, activity, and coursework.
    • Risk Management - Adhering to policies, procedures, and regulations while ensuring meticulous oversight of risk events tied to clientele and sales endeavors.

    Key Qualifications:

    • Undergraduate degree or equivalent is required. Additional certifications and advanced degrees are advantageous.
    • Minimum of 5 years in a related field, preferably financial services, or equivalent advanced degree.
    • Solid problem-solving abilities essential. Experience in sales within complex industries is preferred.
    • Ability to engage effectively with high net worth individuals, managing clients with investable assets averaging over $10 million.
    • Proficiency in financial analysis to propose tailored services to clients and their advisors. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail ensuring consistent and thorough follow-up.

    Compensation for this role is expected to range between $58,900 and $125,000 annually at the outset, tailored to individual factors like experience and market location. Emphasizing a total compensation package encompassing base salary, commissions, bonuses, and various company-sponsored benefits reflective of individual performance, geographic shifts, team dynamics, and market conditions.

    This role is at-will, granting the Company discretion to adjust base salary and other compensation components based on individual performance, location changes, company or team performance, and market variables.
