HTI is seeking a Sr. Quality Systems Engineer to work on contract for a large manufacturer of electric buses. This position will be provide comprehensive support to Proterra's Greer Site Quality team and other sites in Quality, Manufacturing System, and QMS areas. *This position is a contract position to lead the ISO/IATF certification and VDA implementation. The contract period is one year.

What You Need:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
8+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably quality experience in the automotive industry.
8+ years' experience leading internal, registrar, and customer audits within manufacturing to IATF and VDA requirements.
Experience implementing ISO 9001 and IATF 16494 and leading audits. Accredited IATF 16949 internal auditor certification and VDA 6.3 Process auditor qualifications required.

What Your Role Will Look Like:
The Senior Quality Systems Engineer will be responsible for ensuring product, process, and quality systems integrity through development and production. You will be involved in implementation of processes, related documentation, and systems that support manufacturing, lead internal audit activities related to development, changes, qualification, optimization as well as external audits support in line with company policies, protocols, and objectives.

Responsible for defining, maintaining, and improving quality systems and its tiered documentation. This role is responsible for leading the ISO/IATF certification, VDA implementation, and continued compliance to the requirements specified by ISO, AIAG, and VDA.
Ensure continued Customer satisfaction and integration of customer specific requirements using auditing and continuous improvement methodologies.
Creating and maintaining the world class QMS documentation including policies, procedures, capability analysis, statistical process and quality control, document control approvals, internal and and customer quality audits.
Review existing QMS and work collaboratively to promote continuous improvement standardization across all levels of QMS.
Participate in issues resolution with Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving skills; review production issues and articulate proper problem ownership of engineering, manufacturing, and and suppliers.
Collaboration with cross functional teams to detect and document potential failures.
Lead process with audits and safe launch audits for all programs within manufacturing environment.
Ensure consistency between product FMEA-control plans and interface to the customer.
Act as liaison between Proterra and registrar for all certification related topics.
Act as a liaison between Proterra and customer for all customer audit related topics.
