    Role Overview
    • Implement scalable accounting procedures to facilitate the international expansion of payment processing accounting
    • Collaborate closely with product, go-to-market, and finance teams to gain a profound understanding of new offerings, functionalities, and contracts, and offer insights on accounting implications
    • Work in conjunction with internal systems and engineering departments to fortify internal financial systems and automate accounting operations
    • Conduct research and produce in-depth technical accounting analyses
    • Evaluate the efficiency of internal controls, establish new processes and controls for evolving business activities
    • Develop and update comprehensive accounting procedural guidelines
    • Coordinate and execute monthly and quarterly closing activities, encompassing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, financial report submissions, and analytical assessments
    • Create internal management reports and analyses
    • Support external audit procedures

    Candidate Profile

    We are seeking an individual who fulfills the minimum qualifications necessary for the position. If you meet these criteria, we encourage you to consider applying. The preferred qualifications are advantageous but not obligatory.

    Minimum Requirements
    • 7+ years of pertinent public accounting and/or industry background in accounting
    • B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA certification highly preferred)
    • Proficiency in U.S. GAAP and ability to address intricate accounting matters, particularly focusing on ASC 606
    • Outstanding communication and organizational aptitudes, both written and oral, with the capacity to articulate financial notions to diverse audiences
    • Proficient in Excel and adept at handling extensive datasets from various origins
    • Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional partners
    • Familiarity with internal controls (design, implementation, execution)
    • Track record of overseeing challenging projects and generating outcomes with meticulous attention to detail
    • Solution-driven mindset with eagerness to institute best practices and challenge existing procedures to pinpoint enhancement prospects

    Preferred Qualifications
    • CPA or equivalent qualification
    • Proficiency in utilizing SQL for self-service data retrieval
    • Prior exposure to the Payments or Tech sectors
