    Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a full time RN (Registered Nurse) in our Neuro Intermediate Care - Stepdown Unit.

    POSITION AND UNIT OVERVIEW

    • Full time; 36 hours per week
    • Day Shift; 7am - 7pm


    The Neuro Intermediate Care Unit at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is a 36 bed medical/surgical unit that provides neuro care to stroke, seizure, craniology, neck and back surgery patients and more.

    It is a team driven, fast paced, intense and engaging environment for learning. Our staff enjoy working with a variety of medical diagnosis.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    License and Certification:

    • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)

    Education:

    • RN-Associate's Degree
    • RN-Bachelor's Degree
    • RN-Diploma
    • RN-Master's Degree

    Serving as a destination medical center in the mid-Atlantic region, Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is a Level 1 trauma center in Norfolk, Virginia, home to the Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance, region's first Magnet hospital and nationally ranked heart program at Sentara Heart Hospital.

    Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, on the Eastern Virginia Medical Campus, is a large 525-bed medical center, which serves as the primary teaching institution for the adjacent Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS).
