Medasource is seeking a local contract Clinic Audiologist for a local contract job in Lexington, Kentucky.
Job Description & RequirementsPerforms professional work in identifying, appraising and interpreting communicative disorders of hearing. Participates in hearing conservation programs, in aural habilitative and rehabilitative programming, coordinates the audiological work of subordinate staff members and performs other duties as assigned.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Serves as a member of multidisciplinary treatment team. Provides diagnostic and case management of audiologic services to Clinic and Non-Clinic patients.
Provides services related to hearing aids including evaluations, fittings, repairs, modifications and routine monitoring. Oversees annual calibration of audiological equipment and monitors warranted repair.
Partners and collaborates with regional birthing hospitals/families/community audiologists to ensure infants are screened for hearing loss and receive warranted follow up services.
Counsels patients and families on available resources in home community. Facilitates transition from pediatric to adult care.
Coordinates the audiometric work of nonprofessional or professional subordinate staff including nurses/hospital and school personnel, graduate students, early interventionists and others.
Performs other duties as assigned
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Practicing Audiologist
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A)
Licensed in KY
Previous pediatric experience preferred
Highly self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure
Demonstrates flexibility and critical thinking
Strong verbal and written communication skills, time management and organizational skills are necessary
Experience with cochlear implants and other implantable devices is a plus
Proficient in MS Office
Records Management
Travels as needed
