    Description

    The Audiologist functions as a member of the Otolaryngology health care team in the evaluation of hearing, performing numerous specialized diagnostic procedures; coordinates and assesses diagnostic data to determine the probable response of hearing loss to specific medical treatment; participates as a resource in the counseling, guidance, auditory training and education of patients.

    Practices within American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and American Academy of Audiology code of ethics.

    Formal training which will probably be indicated by a Master of Science, Audiology; This document is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
