Description
What do you do as a paramedic in Bay Point?

Your skills are needed in emergencies: As a paramedic, you drive the ambulance and assist the paramedic or emergency medical technician in treating wounds and calming injured individuals, such as in workplace or car accidents.

You are also quick to respond in situations where children accidentally ingest cleaning products or a cyclist falls, and you provide emergency medical care.

On site, you quickly assess the health status of injured or sick individuals, stop bleeding, perform artificial respiration, and prepare intravenous infusions.

You know how to make severely injured individuals transportable and monitor their bodily functions on board the ambulance using modern medical equipment.

What you will learn with us:

  • How emergency services and patient transport are organized through the emergency control center
  • How to act quickly and responsibly in medical emergencies
  • How to perform life-saving immediate measures
  • What is important in the emergency room, outpatient clinic, anesthesia, and intensive care unit
  • How to provide medical care and make individuals transportable
You will put your knowledge into practice from the beginning.

In a clinical internship, you will deepen your medical knowledge, assist in the emergency room, and in the intensive care unit.

You will also complete a second internship at an ambulance station, where you will participate in your first rescue missions and gain experience in dealing with injured individuals.

Your paramedic training lasts four months, including internships, and ends with the state examination to become a paramedic.
