Special Instructions for Applicants:

This is a contract, full-time position with a targeted salary range of $71, $82,000.00/year with full health benefits and membership in the UC Retirement Plan.


Responsibilities:

Provide professional executive level management for the Football Head Coach ("Head Coach"). Exercise independent judgment and leadership.

Supervise the flow of information, manage projects, manage the internal operations of the Head Coach's Office, facilitate communication to and from the Head Coach's Office, and perform analysis of complex issues to facilitate management of the total organization by the Coach.

Organize staff meetings, information sessions, and trainings.

All tasks will be completed following the policies and procedures set forth by the department, University, state, Conference, and NCAA.

The position will serve as a member of the department's Senior Staff and perform other duties and events as assigned by and in conjunction with the Athletics Executive Team and Football Sport Administrator(s).


Salary & Compensation:

Qualifications:

  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion (required)
  • Strong organizational, planning, time management and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in a fastpaced and changing environment. (required)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks such as problem solving, decision making, learning, rational thinking, and exercising good judgment. (required)
  • Strong, efficient communication skills to prepare written and verbal correspondence, forms and reports with speed and accuracy. (required)
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with mínimal direction making logical decisions based on department, university, state and conference policies and procedures. (required)
  • Direct experience with oversight of complex budgets and ability to forecast and reconcile funds as needed. (required)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and best practices for accounting and general business administration. (required)
  • Ability to work with a variety of campus and department internal and office related systems and policies, including payroll and accounting office guidelines. (required)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties with accuracy, meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and work effectively under conditions of frequent interruptions and fluctuating workload. (required)
  • Knowledge of and commitment to comply with NCAA, conference and University rules and regulations. (required)

Education, Licenses, Certifications, & Professional Affiliations:

  • Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience / training. (required) Or

Other Special Conditions of Employment:

  • Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
  • CANRA: The position is designated as a mandatory reporter under CANRA.
The employee must sign the "Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Child Abuse".

  • Ability and willingness to work long and odd hours, often weekends and potentially holidays during variety of events and camps/clinics. (required)
  • 10% May be required to travel for team activites; including all home and away games.
