Overview

LMI seeks a skilled Program Manager to support a CBP PMO in the National Capital Region. Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on delivering practical and efficient solutions to help our client keep U.S. borders safe and facilitate travel and trade.

Responsibilities

Demonstrated strong managerial experience organizing, planning, directing, and managing contractor staff to ensure that program goals and objectives are met
Foster positive working relationships with team, client personnel and leadership counterpart

Provide management, direction, administration, quality assurance, and leadership for program excecution.

Lead the identification, selection and implementation of tool sets to support Program Management functions.

Consult with senior leadership, as needed, in support of the day-to-day operations.

Provide required team leadership and guidance, overall program management vision
Manage staffing requirements, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and execution

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or higher in business, management, finance or related discipline

Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience supporting DHS programs.

Support to CBP strongly desired.

Professional certification in a relevant discipline such as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA or DHS Program Manager Level III Certified or equivalent.

Ability to effectively manage a large-scale project
Ability to effectively gather and validate requirements

Ability to effectively develop and review project schedules

Ability to communicate clearly with a wide variety of stakeholders orally and in writing

Possess technical and business writing skills

Possess the ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment

Possess strong organizational skills to enable working with project teams, service providers and various stakeholders

Possess strong time management skills

Ability to think strategically

Ability to absorb and summarize complex issues toward resolution

Possess strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to collaborate well with others and build strong relationships

An active CBP Background Investigation is required.
