A Day in The Life of a Systems & Networks Supervisor
Each day brings new challenges and opportunities to drive innovation and excellence and you will play a crucial role in helping shape the digital landscape of our company. You will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks, to ensure network availability, reliability, and security to meet business needs. You will also help to manage the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms and implement best practices for system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning. Security management is top of mind here at GLE so helping to develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats and implementing security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection solutions is a high priority.
Team leadership is very important in this role, so you should be experienced in providing leadership and guidance to a team of Systems, Network, and Telecom Administrators as well as being able to set clear goals and expectations, delegating tasks effectively, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. In addition, you will also evaluate vendor products and services, serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues while providing guidance and support to resolve them in a timely manner, and maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, network configurations, and security controls to ensure compliance.

You are a strategic thinker who uses logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions to problems you encounter and are continuously monitoring to make improvements. You have strong leadership abilities and enjoy interacting with others, through coaching, supporting, mentoring, and leading by example. You enjoy collaborating with a team and are willing to jump in and get your hands dirty when needed but you are content working alone to get a job done as well.
You've got some impressive credentials too. A bachelor's degree in in Computer Networks and Systems, Computer Science or Computer Information Systems and five or more years of experience, or related experience as well as at least one year of supervisory experience?
