    Role Description
    This is a full-time on-site role in the Los Angeles area for a

    Mechanical Engineer - Thermodynamics

    . The

    Mechanical Engineer - Thermodynamics

    will be responsible for the from-scratch sizing and development of

    design, fluid modeling, analysis, and testing of thermodynamic systems including turbomachinery, heat exchangers and pumps

    . The role will grow to work with a team of other thermodynamics and turbomachinery engineers as well as hardware design, prototyping and manufacturing engineers to develop from-scratch and novel hardware at increasingly larger scales.

    Compensation includes significant equity stake in the startup.

    Qualifications
    Expertise in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer
    Experience with the development of production turbomachinery
    Proficiency in fluid modeling and simulation techniques
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    Good communication and team-working skills
    Highly self-motivated
    Experience in the aerospace, automotive, or power generation industries is a plus
    PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is a plus
