And our work depends on a motivated Financial Analyst joining our team to support GDIT headquarters Financial Planning & Analysis activities at 3150 Fairview Park Drive, Falls Church, VA.
Candidate MUST be located in the DC metro area, and comfortable commuting to the Fairview Park location a few days a week.
As a Financial Analyst supporting all of the GDIT finance organizations, you will be trusted to analyze and continuously improve financial metrics to help achieve enterprise-wide goals and commitments.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Participate and coordinate financial activities such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and ad hoc modeling analysis as needed.
Partner with team members across the organization to collect and review data from various sources.
Create, maintain, and update financial databases and spreadsheets, and generate various financial reports and analysis as needed.
Assist with developing compelling presentations for executive level leadership.
Continuously focus on process improvement and identify automation opportunities to decrease time spent reporting and increase time spent analyzing.
Maintain appropriate records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as other government regulations as needed.
Required Qualifications:
BA/BS (or equivalent experience) plus 2+ years of experience in related finance or accounting field; OR six years related experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree
Effective communication skills with a proven ability to work cross functionally and adapt to change
Excellent time-management and organizational skills, ability to handle various priorities
Demonstrated professional commitment, initiative, accountability and ownership of assignments
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Desired Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (mostly Excel and Powerpoint), previous experience with accounting systems (Oracle preferred)
Previous experience with ERP systems (Hyperion/Smartview/Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) preferred)
The likely salary range for this position is $56,000 - $84,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
