Description

The Acute Financial Analyst will assist and perform a broad range of financial analysis, reporting, and data analytics in support of improving healthcare operations and profitability. Supports the hospitals' month-end close, the annual budget preparation, and various ad hoc requests. Required to assist with concurrent projects and multiple requests related to both service lines and hospitals in a matrixed environment.

This role is remote with a quarterly onsite requirement located in Fairfax, VA. (Local Candidates are preferred ; DMV area)

Job Responsibilities

Performs financial analysis to support service line growth and profitability initiatives with guidance from a Financial Analyst Senior, Manager, or Director.
Assists with the preparation of pro forma business case models.
Develops proficiency with service line financial data generated by the cost accounting system.
Assists with a broad range of finance and analytical functions including but not limited to budgeting and forecasting, financial analytics and reporting, profitability and utilization analysis, data management, presentation development, benchmarking, month-end close support, surveys, capital, and various other special projects.
Ensures that the financial information provided is accurate, timely, and complete.
Partners with and develops strong relationships with internal clients throughout the organization.
Assists senior leadership with financial projects as needed.
May perform additional duties as assigned.
